Part of this game that can be the most fun is role playing with other people. With the responsibility of role playing comes rules and guidelines you should follow.
1) Keep the swearing to a minimum.
Ass, damn, and hell are acceptible as long as you are not calling someone else these names. For example: "I'm going to kick your ass" in a role play is acceptible, however, "You are an ass" is not. If you cannot tell the difference between the 2 different types then you need not to include it into your role play. The only acceptable way of doing this is "I can't stand you, you piece of (expletive deleted). Expletive deleted is acceptable but lets not go crazy with it. At MOST 1 swear is acceptable in a role play, that doesn't mean it has to be done.
2) Try to be original.
Using phrases from WWE, WCW, and TNA should be avoided, this includes crowd responses such as WHATT?? Each one of us can be creative, that is what makes each one of us unique. All of us may think alike at times but still very much different. Show others that you have something to bring to the table that makes you stand out from everyone.
3) Allow the person in your role play to collaborate.
What this means is when you type in what your opponent says in an interview be expected for them to revise what they say. You may have an opponent that wouldn't talk like you. For example:
Opponent 1: Hey mate how are you today on this fine evening?
Opponent 2: I'm doing fine mate, thank you for asking
Now opponent 2 doesn't really like what YOU had him say. He would prefer to change it to:
Opponent 1: Hey mate how are you today on this fine evening?
Opponent 2: I'm fine bro, you?
This is just a generic example but perhaps you see my point. Don't be irritated at the person you are role playing with, collaboration is what makes the best role plays. You get to type out what you want, and with a good role playing partner you get to get their opinions. I guarantee if you work with the other person on a role play it will turn out a lot better, even if you already think it is perfect.
4) Colors or no colors?
Some colors will be expected in the role play. What I do is go and copy and paste your role play to the show. If you do not add the colors than I am to do it myself. While it may not sound like much to you, when you consider I have your role play, plus at least 15 others + the announcers, gm, interviewer, and ring announcer it is time consuming. GMs on average already spend usually 40 hours + on just one show. If I have to do this for you and everyone else I could be looking at more than that. Be considerate. I don't ask for you guys to type a whole lot and most usually spend about a half hour on a show. I'm asking you to take an extra 5 minutes and add color to your role play. This does NOT mean to over load the role play with colors. Some things do not need color. We are trying to make things look pretty, not trying to make them look like a defunct rainbow. The color scheme is as follows for the corresponding things.
Actions are to be in purple.
Opponent 1 rears back and hits Opponent 2 in the head
Don Ginerella is to be in blue.
Don Ginerella: Wow, he got his head blown clean off with that one.
Steve Carell is to be in green.
Steve Carell: Oh you got that right, I hope he has medical insurance!
The interviewer Rocket is to be in orange.
Rocket: Well that is what you get for mouthing!
GM Sal Bandini is to be in red.
What are you doing in my office?
What your wrestler has to say does not have to have color. If it does I expect you to try to stay clear from the colors that are already being taken from these people. Now with this being posted, starting week 2, if you want your role plays to be considered you will abide by these guidelines.
